Pam Hillis
Pam Hillis, CHRL is an HR consultant based in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit and financial services organizations, she brings a practical, real-world employer perspective to conversations about hiring, leadership, and workplace culture.
Through her consulting practice, Pam partners with mission-driven organizations to strengthen their recruitment, leadership development, engagement, and overall people strategies. She has previously held senior HR roles at Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region and Kindred Credit Union, where she led talent strategy, learning and development, and organizational change initiatives.
Pam is passionate about inclusive hiring, building trust in the workplace, and helping organizations create environments where people can do meaningful work and thrive. She also serves on the board of Living Wage Canada.
Outside of work, Pam is married, mom to a 10-year-old son, and human to a rescue dog named Matcha. She’s passionate about improv (which turns out to be surprisingly relevant to hiring—listening well, thinking on your feet, and saying “yes, and” go a long way in both!). She runs a book club, loves board games, and has an impressive collection of craft supplies she fully intends to turn into masterpieces someday.
