Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do I prepare for the Global Skills Conference?
To prepare for the Global Skills Conference, we strongly encourage you to speak with your employment counselor and attend a GSC Preparation Session. You can register for a preparation session through our online form when you are registering to attend the conference.
You could also complete the Pre Employment Workshops at the KW Multicultural Centre in Kitchener or the Job Search Workshops at Lutherwood in Guelph prior to attending this conference. To register, your first step is to book a job search needs assessment by contacting one of the Employment Counselor. In the assessment, we will create your customized action plan and individualized referrals to help you with your job search needs.
If you live in Kitchener you can contact Katelyn at the KW Multicultural Centre at email@example.com or 519-745-2531 ext. 139. If you live in Guelph you can contact Poli at Lutherwood at 519-822-4141 Ext 1536 firstname.lastname@example.org or Marie Mcdonald at 519-822-4141 Ext 1531 email@example.com at Lutherwood.

They will help you understand Canadian workplace culture and matching one’s professional qualifications within the Canadian context and will prepare you for the Global Skills Conference.
